HINDUSTAN AERONAUTIC LIMITED (HAL)
In 1992, EA purchased Nardi's hydraulic business and a design and qualification contract for the actuation systems and several other hydraulic accessories for the HAL Advanced Light Helicopter program ("ALH").
EA fulfilled its responsibilities successfully and became a fully qualified supplier for both the Helicopter and Aircraft divisions.
In addition to the ALH, EA collaborates with HAL by participating in the Light Utility Helicopter and Light Combat Helicopter programs by providing primary flight control systems, rotor brake systems, reservoirs, and utility actuation. EA and HAL also collaborate on development programs for fixed-wing aircraft and accessories for various additional platforms (i.e., HTT-40, LCA Tejas).
Inspired by the "make in India" policies, a branch office has been officially opened in Bangalore in the 1st quarter of 2019. With the cooperation of a local strategic partner (SIKA Interplant Limited), the indigenization process has already started with MRO activities and local assembly/testing of EA's products.
